Job Description
A rare opportunity has arisen to lead, manage and develop the Bereavement Service in Glasgow.
The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective management of service provision across all our Crematoria and Cemeteries including governance, day to day management of the Bereavement Services manager and the supervisory team, liaison with external statutory bodies, out of hours provision, submission of and adherence with all relevant documentation and legislation in relation to burials and cremations.
You should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or have relevant Management experience and have strong interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills with experience in communication with senior public and private sector officials.
You will have working knowledge of Scottish and UK bereavement practices, procedures and legislation and have substantial experience in developing and managing teams within the Bereavement Services sector involving various sector stakeholders, and associated budgets.
You will be able to explain complex or contentious information with a range of audiences in addition to having the ability and experience to translate strategy into deliverable and tangible actions using robust project management principles.
