Job description

Sharp Consultancy are working with a rapidly growing business based in Barnsley that are looking for an Assistant Group Finance Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

The main duties of this role will include:

  • Managing the day to day operations of the transactional finance team.

  • Ensuring clarity in roles and achievement of KPI’s.

  • Oversee the integrity of the sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll date across all systems.

  • Process improvements by regularly reviewing finance systems and process.

  • Maintain and manage IT systems within the finance department.

  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports.

  • Reconciliation of invoicing accounts.

  • Ensure sales, costs and payroll are properly handled.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a finance department.

  • Knowledge of Sage50 Accounts and Payroll.

  • Ability to manage, motivate and influence team members.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.

What’s on offer:
