Role Overview

As an Assistant GC&E Director (Planning), you will support the management of the Groups, Conference, and Events Sales office to meticulously execute event planning. You will interact with customers and guests to understand their needs and develop relationships for repeat business. Your responsibilities include:

  • Maximize revenue opportunities for Groups, Conferences, and Events
  • Review business plans, identify gaps, and proactively fill capacity to meet targets
  • Contribute to the hotel’s selling strategy and ensure departmental adherence
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and implement strategies to stay ahead
  • Conduct weekly checks of bookings, aiming for at least 90% accuracy in audits
  • Develop the GCE Planning Team in customer service, relationship building, and sales techniques
  • Manage and develop the team for career progression and succession planning
  • Organize hotel promotional activities
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience in Reservations or Conference & Events Sales within the hotel/leisure sector
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and exceed targets
  • Analytical skills to interpret business indicators and market trends
  • Excellent sales skills and coaching ability
