Get Golfing is seeking an Assistant Greenkeeper at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club. You will support maintenance and presentation of high-quality playing surfaces and grounds, using turf care practices and specialised machinery to keep the course safe and playable.

Role involves early mornings, weekends, and overtime as needed. You'll contribute to irrigation, drainage, and turf renovation, while upholding safety and sustainability on site and delivering high standards.

Qualifications

• Interest in turf management, horticulture, or grounds maintenance.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional overtime.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and roughs
• Carry out mowing, raking, edging, divoting, and general turf care tasks
• Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery and hand tools safely
• Assist with irrigation, drainage, and turf renovation works (aeration, seeding, topdressing)
• Help prepare the course/grounds for competitions and events
• Monitor turf health and report any issues such as disease, pests, or damage
• Follow health & safety procedures and safe working practices at all times
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives on site
• Undertake general groundskeeping and maintenance duties as required
