Mill Green Golf Club, part of Get Golfing CIO, is seeking an Assistant Greenkeeper to join the team and help maintain high-quality playing surfaces and grounds.

You will assist with daily greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and roughs, operate turf machinery, and support safe, playable course conditions.

This role suits someone passionate about golf, with a good work ethic, excellent teamwork, and flexibility for early mornings, weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Interest in turf management or grounds maintenance.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and roughs.
• Carry out mowing, raking, edging, divoting and general turf care tasks.
• Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery and hand tools safely.
• Assist with irrigation, drainage and turf renovation works (aeration, seeding, topdressing).
• Help prepare the course/grounds for competitions and events.
• Monitor turf health and report issues such as disease, pests or damage.
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices at all times.
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives on site.
• Undertake general groundskeeping and maintenance duties as required.

Description

Mill Green Golf Club is seeking an Assistant Greenkeeper to join their team. Mill Green are part of Get Golfing CIO who owns and operates a network of golf courses across the country, providing golf enthusiasts with exceptional golfing experiences.

As an Assistant Greenkeeper you will support the maintenance, preparation, and presentation of high-quality playing surfaces and surrounding grounds. The role involves day-to-day turf care, use of specialist machinery, and helping ensure the course/facility is safe, attractive, and playable to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and roughs
• Carry out mowing, raking, edging, divoting, and general turf care tasks
• Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery and hand tools safely

Desirable

• Previous experience in greenkeeping, grounds maintenance, or horticulture
• Experience operating mowing and turf machinery

• Prior experience in golf course maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of turf maintenance and environmentally friendly practices.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
