Get Golfing is a charity dedicated to improving lives through golf, aiming to make courses and clubhouses accessible to everyone and to serve as community hubs.

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for maintaining the golf course's appearance and playability, including care of tees, fairways, greens, and rough areas. Responsibilities may also include planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and flower beds.

This is a full-time position with a salary of £26,000 to £28,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

1. Mowing turf with tractors, ride-on machines, and hand mowers.
2. Treating turf to ensure quality playing surfaces.
3. Applying environmentally friendly treatments for weeds, fungi, and pests as instructed.
4. Maintaining bunkers, water features, and other hazards.
5. Removing dew and debris from greens.
6. Repairing wear caused by golfers and animals.
7. Responding to golfer inquiries and assisting as needed.
8. Addressing drainage issues.
9. Applying irrigation.
10. Cutting holes on greens.
11. Planting and pruning trees and shrubs.
12. Operating and maintaining machinery and tools.

General Expectations

• Maintain a professional attitude towards customers, colleagues, and third parties.
• Keep premises tidy and presentable.

Minimum Requirements

• Level 2 qualification or working towards NVQ Level 2 (desirable but not essential).
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends on a rota.
• Passion, enthusiasm, and motivation.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently and follow precise instructions.
