Job summary

The Richmond Golf Club in Southwest London is seeking an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated course maintenance team.

You will contribute to daily course preparation and presentation, turf maintenance and renovation, and the safe operation of modern machinery.

NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf or working towards it, a flexible 1-in-3 weekend rota, and the opportunity for ongoing training, BTME attendance, staff golf, pension, and a 39‑hour week with paid breaks.

• Flexible approach to working hours, including a 1-in-3 weekend rota.

Responsibilities

Description:

The Richmond Golf Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated course maintenance team.

Located alongside the world-renowned Richmond Park in Southwest London, The Richmond Golf Club offers a unique working environment. You will join a team of 10 staff responsible for maintaining our 18-hole golf course, which is predominantly built on sand and sand/gravel deposits. A modern fleet of machinery, an up-to-date irrigation system and a healthy course budget ensure the team has the right tools to deliver high standards every day.

The Role

As an Assistant Greenkeeper, you will be involved in all aspects of golf course maintenance, including daily course preparation and presentation, turf maintenance and renovation, and the safe operation of modern machinery.

About You

• We are looking for someone who has:
• NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf, or is currently working towards this qualification
• A flexible approach to working hours, including a 1-in-3 weekend rota
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
