This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and growth of Private Patient services at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Following approval of a new Private Patients team structure, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Assistant General Manager to provide senior operational and strategic leadership for the service.
The successful candidate will develop and deliver a sustainable Private Patients growth plan, working closely with consultants, clinical divisions, Finance and corporate teams. They will help convert identified opportunities into viable services while strengthening the processes needed to identify activity, agree prices, secure authorisation, raise invoices promptly and recover income.

The postholder will
St George's, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey.Our sites include St George's Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).

About You:
We are looking for an experienced senior manager who can combine strong operational leadership with commercial judgement and the ability to build effective relationships across a complex organisation.
You will be able to demonstrate:
Experience of Private Patients, independent healthcare, insurer contracting, healthcare pricing or income recovery would be advantageous, but is not essential. Candidates from a strong NHS operational or commercial background are also encouraged to apply.
Additional Information:
The appointment ill initially be made on a fixed-term basis. Continuation beyond the agreed term will be subject to organisational approval and evidence of service delivery, sustainable growth and financial performance.
