Job Title: Assistant Garment Technologist

Reporting to: Head of Tech

Location: Crawley, West Sussex, United Kingdom

Contract Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

The Assistant Garment Technologist will support the Garment Technology Team by managing administration and communication with designers, manufacturers, and production teams to ensure product quality, fit, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proto, fit, and Gold Seals meet specifications and brand standards.
• Support the team with fit comments, specifications, amendments, and size charts, communicating effectively with the supply base.
• Experience with PLM systems is advantageous.
• Maintain test reports for fabrics, yarns, interlinings, trims, and artwork at the proto stage.
• Coordinate bulk and garment testing, balancing quality and costs.
• Conduct wearer trials on new fabrics and high-risk styles, taking appropriate actions.

Additional Tasks

• Visit warehouses and shops regularly to assess quality and compliance.
• Review quality reports and provide feedback.
• Coordinate fit reviews to ensure consistency.
• Manage workload according to schedules and critical paths.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
• Organize department files and keep workstations tidy.
