Job description

We are looking for an eager, hardworking individual seeking to further develop their career in Garden Design. As an assistant designer, there will be opportunities to support our team of industry professionals on a number of cross divisional projects. The role requires someone who is keen to contribute to a creative team, has good written and verbal communication skills and has a keen eye for detailed, quality design.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting lead designers in all aspects of project work.
  • Client meetings.
  • Developing concept designs.
  • Working up 3D renders.
  • Planting plans.
  • Detailed construction drawings.
  • Specification writing.
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Be a team player who takes initiative.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, a diploma in Landscape Garden Design, or a degree in a related subject.
  • Have 1-2 years of relevant work experience (i.e. design studio).
  • Show evidence of design skills.
  • Competence in CAD & software packages (e.g. Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign), Microsoft 365).
  • Have some knowledge of construction detailing for landscapes.
  • Have a passion for sustainability within design.
  • Have a full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • Competence in CAD software e.g. Sketchup, AutoCAD, 3dsMax, KeySCAPE, Rhino etc.
  • Good plant knowledge or experience working in horticulture.

This position is a full-time role. Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm (40 hours per week). To ensure you can properly support the team, you will be required to work in the design office, in-person on all working days.
