We are an Anglican co-educational Independent school in regional Victoria, Australia. Our well-established School Rowing program has enjoyed great success with regular appearances and medal success at major Victorian State Championships and Australian National Championships.
We are seeking three final year University students (undergraduate or postgraduate) to add significant value to the School’s Rowing program as part of a graduate gap year opportunity available under a Temporary Activity Visa. The opportunities we have on offer are rewarding, allowing involvement in the continued development of an established culture in the pursuit of excellence and high performance, which extends beyond time spent at Gippsland Grammar.
We are interested to hear from individuals who believe they can function as part of a coaching team to add significant value to the Rowing program, beyond their skills on the water as a coach.
Degree subject, strengths and interests will be taken into consideration when allocating an area of responsibility and a crew or squad. The secondary duties will be allocated based on area of expertise.

Those appointed will be required at the School from approximately late-July 2025 until early April 2026. This opportunity is available through a Temporary Activity Visa (sub class 408 Special Program category), under which Gippsland Grammar sponsors visa applicants. Under this visa, Gippsland Grammar provides a living allowance and accommodation which includes internet and utility bills.
Gippsland Grammar is committed to providing a child safe environment. Volunteers at the school must hold a current Working With Children check, which may be applied for upon arrival in Australia.
Interviews are likely to involve an initial video interview, followed by a Skype or telephone interview shortly thereafter. It is anticipated final offers will be made by the end of May to allow time to secure a visa and flights. Appointees will be financially responsible for visa charges, flights and travel insurance.
