Job summary

Buile Hill Park in Salford is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to lead our busy wedding, banqueting, conference, bars and Secret Garden café team. You will help lay up, serve, and ensure service runs smoothly across events and provide occasional silver service or bar duties.

As a key holder you will close venues securely after functions, motivate staff, and deliver memorable experiences to drive future bookings. Expect regular evening and weekend shifts and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria include HND or Degree in Hospitality or Events.
• Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business needs.
• A personal licence holder is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event service, including meal service, buffet prep and service, and bars operations to ensure smooth delivery.
• Act as key holder responsible for securing venues after functions.
• Lay up, wait on, and occasionally silver serve or pull a pint as required in a busy venue environment.
• Inspire confidence in customers and staff and contribute to memorable experiences to encourage repeat bookings.

Are you a hands-on manager in the Hospitality industry? Willing to go the extra mile, with a nothing is too much trouble and can do attitude, looking to exceed your customer’s expectations? Then we want to hear from you.

Venues in Salford Commercial Catering Team are looking for an experienced manager to join our busy and successful wedding, banqueting, conference, bars and Secret Garden café division. We are a small team so you will be required to lay up, wait on, occasionally silver serve and maybe even pull a pint or two!

As Duty Manager, it will be your responsibility to ensure every aspect of the event i.e. meal service, buffet preparation and service and bars run smoothly. As key holder, you will be responsible for ensuring the venues are closed up and left secure after every function.

You will inspire customer and staff confidence in our venues and events. Delivering a memorable experience for our customers to ensure both future and repeat bookings.

This role will include regular evening & weekend shifts.

Salary is currently under NJC review and this will be adjusted once confirmation has been received
