Qualifications

  • Experience in Flood Risk Assessments and Sustainable Drainage Systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of relevant Section Agreements (S104, S106) and drainage design.

  • Produce drainage designs to align with industry standards.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders in public and private sectors.

Job description

My client, a diverse, well-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for an Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts near the beautiful, historical town of Reading.

Essential Criteria:

- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Geography, or a similar, related field

- Demonstrable experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Mitigation, and Sustainable Drainage Systems

- Experience of working with drainage design and sewerage connections

- Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104 and S106), and their relevant applications within the industry

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, and other programmes

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to possess the following:

- Chartered Engineer, or actively working to attain Chartered Status

- Excellent time management and communication skills

In your exciting new role of Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will join an expert team of design engineers, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects

- Producing drainage designs, aligning with industry standards

- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to the relevant Section Agreements

- Liaising with a range of clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
