Rider Levett Bucknall is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer in the UK to support our experienced fire engineering team from concept design through construction, ensuring fire safety is integral to the project.
You will work on diverse projects such as skyscrapers, hospitals or transport hubs, gaining hands-on experience, mentoring, and ongoing professional development within a collaborative, supportive environment.
Fire Engineers play a pivotal role in keeping people safe. They use science and engineering to understand how a fire behaves and design buildings to protect lives in the event a fire breaks out. Every building is different and fire engineers are problem solvers who think creatively, especially on complex projects such as skyscrapers, hospitals or transport hubs. As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you will support our experienced fire engineering team in delivering high‑quality fire strategies and technical advice. You will be involved in all stages of a project-from concept design to construction-ensuring that fire safety is integrated into the design and build process. A degree (or pending) in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or a related STEM discipline, Recognised as a client-focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to peers and seniors.
