A leading defense and aerospace company is seeking a candidate to support the financial reporting processes and to provide insights for the finance team. The role requires a part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/ICAEW) with proficiency in MS Office. Job description

Support the day-to-day financial reporting processes end to end: Capturing requirements, reviewing inputs, providing synthesis and issuing reporting and support with ad-hoc queries and reporting requirements from various stakeholders within Europe & International (E&I).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Half year and Full year Statutory reporting process, provide support to external audit during these periods and support the Monthly Financial Reporting process comparing actuals to budget and evaluation of key risk & opportunities
  • Provide support to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
  • Assistance in the preparation and reporting of the quarterly Project Risk Analysis. Undertaking variance analysis to understand movements from previous reporting and forward looking to understand the risk burn-down profiles
  • Support identification of end-to-end process and data improvements, promoting a continuous improvement mindset

The successful candidate will be part of the Finance team, responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality and forward looking financial evaluation and insights to the business. The team works alongside other finance capabilities to drive the enhancement of key business processes, working towards establishing data focused and digitally enabled performance reporting to meet the future business needs.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/ICAEW) - AAT will not be accepted
  • Proficient in MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Passionate about improvements and maintaining a continuous improvement culture

Desirable:

  • Proficient with TM1 IBM Planning Analytics
  • Background in FP&A
