Job summary

art'otel London Battersea Power Station is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to lead monthly management accounts, journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations in a premium 164-key hotel. You will manage VAT submissions, intercompany movements, and system integrations across SUN, SAP and Board.

Join a dynamic finance team focused on process improvements, audit readiness, and strong internal controls within a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Finance background with hotel industry experience is preferred.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Knowledge of VAT submissions and HMRC processes.
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations and loans is desirable.
• Ability to collaborate across finance teams and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Upload financial data into SUN, SAP and Board with consistency.
• Approve and finalise monthly Balance Sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Finalise VAT submissions and file with HMRC.
• Manage intercompany loans and movements; identify efficiency improvements.
• Support auditors and ensure compliance with accounting controls.
