Assistant Financial Controller

Location: Cannock, Staffordshire

Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 + Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional with manufacturing experience to join our team as an Assistant Financial Controller. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work for a small but global manufacturing business based in Cannock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
  • Support manufacturing operations with Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and prepare the monthly reporting pack.
  • Prepare regulatory reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop and improve business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Conduct margin analysis for customer and product portfolios, and perform cost analysis for new products and customers.
  • Compile monthly cash flow reports, short-term outlooks, and weekly updates.

Ideal Candidate
