We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Financial Controller to support the financial operations for our Home & Installs divisions in our organisation. This role will assist the Financial Controller in managing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial matters. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
  • Monitor and report business KPIs.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades.
  • Supervise and support finance staff as needed.


Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role preferrable within industry.
  • A base of a recognised technical accounting qualification from school/college or at the earlier stages of a professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA would be preferred. If the candidate wishes to commence or continue with a professional qualification, study support will be provided.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
