A leading technology company based in Reading seeks a Lead Financial Analyst with over 5 years of experience in finance or accounting. The role involves performing monthly analytical reviews, preparing local GAAP financial statements, and collaborating with legal and tax teams on various financial matters. A Bachelor's degree and proficiency in US GAAP are required. Knowledge of SAP and German is a plus.
The Lead Financial Analyst (LFA) is responsible for controllership functions for select OpenText European entities, primarily in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This role is a vital part of the accounting cycle and supports the global finance function, with a strong focus on both US GAAP and local GAAP financial reporting. The LFA contributes significantly to monthly close processes, statutory audits, and regional compliance, while also playing a key role in acquisition integration and finance transformation initiatives.
Perform monthly analytical reviews for US GAAP close and period-end financial results. Respond to management inquiries related to balance sheet and P&L activity. Review account reconciliations and ensure alignment with accounting policies and controls. Prepare local GAAP financial statements and document country-specific GAAP adjustments. Provide schedules and support during statutory audits. Participate in post-acquisition financial integration activities. Contribute to system migration efforts and attend related meetings or calls. Collaborate with tax and legal teams on legal entity restructuring and step plans. Assist with general ledger migrations and related technical activities. Support tax compliance by preparing tax provision packages and documentation. Assist in responding to commodity, income, and VAT audit inquiries. Act as a regional finance point of contact for DACH-related financial matters. Work with corporate accounting to resolve technical issues and maintain process effectiveness. Support broader finance transformation and continuous improvement projects.
