Job summary

Anglian is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Group Financial Controller with accurate reporting, strong financial control and clear insight across a busy, multi-site business.

You'll review monthly management accounts, assist with statutory accounts and audits, and help strengthen controls, budgeting, cash flow and treasury activities while guiding colleagues in the Group Finance team.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong post-qualification experience.
• Solid background in management accounts, financial accounts, reporting and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems and data.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness; able to meet deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting packs.
• Support statutory accounts, audit activity, VAT and corporate tax compliance.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and Group reporting processes.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and treasury activity.
• Provide clear financial insight to support decision making and improvements.
• Guide and support colleagues within the Group Finance team.

What you'll be doing:

What we're looking for:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong post-qualification experience.
