Finance Analyst Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual who wants to join a finance team and contribute from the ground up, adding value across a fast-growth business. Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and update financial records and general ledger entries, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded (timing, amount, description, currency, cost centre, and legal entity).
- Prepare and review monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, inter-company and other balance sheet reconciliations, including deferred & accrued revenue, prepayments & accruals, fixed assets, and depreciation journals.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts, collaborating with team members for accuracy.
- Review all payments in the banking portal prior to approval.
- Support VAT return processes for the UK, sales tax in the USA, and GST in Singapore.
- Manage outsourced payroll providers and monthly payroll processes, posting payroll journals.
- Work with revenue operations to calculate quarterly sales commissions and provide reporting to Account Executives.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant working towards a professional qualification, with 3-4 years of finance experience.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive self-starter with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and empathizing with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Knowledge of business/management information systems, with intermediate Excel skills, and familiarity with Xero, NetSuite, Dext, etc.
