Temporary Maternity Cover Position (1 Year)

Drive financial precision and support key decisions as our Assistant Financial Controller (Maternity Cover).
The finance team currently manages £35-40 m per annum and our portfolio is continually growing. This is a great role for someone
who is looking for their next career move to work in an environment which exposes them to all the commercial aspects of a finance
department. Our expectation is that you will have sound financial experience, with an advanced understanding and application of MS
Excel skills and accounting software; with a clear focus on continuously improving technology within a finance team. We are
looking for someone to join the Team in August / early September at the latest.
Ideally you will have the below skills, knowledge and experience:
* Financial Qualifications required (or working towards)
* Highly computer literate with advanced skills in Excel, Word and Microsoft Office software.
* Excellent numeracy and communication skills alongside attention to detail and a keen problem solver.
* Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external clients and suppliers.
* Ability to identify and work to accounts processing deadlines and manage sensitive and confidential information.
* Assist the Financial Controller in producing monthly management accounts to strict deadlines.
* Experience of payroll and processing payroll elements (desirable.)
* Manage, develop and motivate a finance team (Credit Control and Invoicing Departments)
* Familiarity with audit preparation.
* Understanding of labour-heavy opeations - dealing with payroll complexities, scheduling, and cost control per contract / client
/ site (desirable).
* Good written and verbal communication.
* Supporting the implementation and enhancement of finance systems and reporting tools.
* Driving process improvement and automation within the finance function.
