Job description

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant interested in opportunities on a contract basis, to be located in Thurso.

Responsibilities:

• Provide management and financial accounting reports
• Prepare and issue monthly reports/invoices and supporting documentation
• Maintain the financial structures within U4BW
• Manage and reconcile accounts
• Analyse transactions and reconciliations within the balance sheet and profit and loss account taking corrective action
• Maintain records on the restructuring programme, prepare payments to pensions admin office and allocate charges accordingly
• Manage the delegations database
• Perform the responsibilities of management appointments relevant to the post

Experience:

• Good understanding of team working principles, behaviours and dynamics.
• Demonstrable experience in a finance role, managing and developing teams
• Ability to analyse numerical data in a logical and accurate manner
• Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Knowledge and understanding of U4BW or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system would be advantageous.
