You will assist the Christie Manson & Woods Ltd FCRC team in providing daily accounting operations support, ensuring the timely and accurate closing of monthly results for London, Amsterdam, Dubai, and regional entities.

You should be a strong team player, highly motivated, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. Technical proficiency and perceptiveness are essential, with the ability to analyze and detect anomalies, flagging suspicious activities to management.

How You'll Make an Impact

Daily & Monthly Activities

  1. Posting and sense-checking all types of currency treasury journals daily, weekly, and monthly, as advised by Group Treasury and Group Finance.
  2. Maintaining sterling and foreign bank account reconciliations, either manually or through automated processes.
  3. Managing a portfolio of companies for daily accountancy, conducting month-end reconciliations, and performing reviews, including investigating and resolving outstanding balances.
  4. Addressing bank account queries as a primary contact.
  5. Reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts, including FX reconciliations for loans and foreign currency bank accounts.
  6. Preparing intercompany current and loan accounts, working with contacts to ensure balances are agreed, invoices are raised, and costs and revaluations are recorded correctly.
  7. Supporting the month-end process by posting journals, resolving queries, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  8. Participating in ad-hoc projects.
  9. Ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.

Quarterly Activities

  1. Arranging and agreeing intercompany loan interest.
  2. Assisting in the preparation of AA Packs.

Annual Activities

  1. Communicating with auditors at year-end.
  2. Supporting UK reporting requirements during half-year and full-year periods.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Basic accounting knowledge; AAT Level 3 or above.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of companies is advantageous.
  • Experience with statutory accounts is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Willingness to understand other teams’ processes and their impact.
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders across multiple overseas jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity and compliance attitude.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; knowledge of JDE and Integrity is desirable.
