Job description

A global and fast-paced organisation based in Chandlers Fordis looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant seeking to gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. This role will be recruited on a 12-14 month contract.

What will the Assistant Financial Accountant role involve?

Reviewing financial reporting work completed by junior accountants as a first line of review.

Supporting the monthly accounts process and assisting with financial statement preparation.

Supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate transaction recording and balance sheet integrity.

Reconciling and reporting on the consolidated IFRS balance sheet on a monthly basis.

Preparing financial information for internal stakeholders across the business.

Assisting with tax compliance (excluding payroll taxes).

Preparing annual financial statements and liaising with auditors during the year-end process.

Identifying areas to improve existing processes and internal controls.

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Financial Accountant vacancy:

Must be part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA

Strong Excel skills are essential – pivots and VLOOKUPs highly desirable.

Ability to hit the ground running and adapt quickly in a busy finance function.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
