SS&C Technologies seeks an Assistant Financial Accountant. This role reports to the Head of Accounting and involves general ledger accounting and analysis across multiple legal entities. It is a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.

Your Responsibilities

• Month-end accruals & prepayments
• Assist with fixed assets accounting, including additions and disposals
• Analyze large transaction volumes for variance and trend reporting
• Reconcile balance sheet and control accounts monthly, resolving variances
• Upload reconciliations into the Cadency SOX tool on time
• Collaborate with colleagues to address coding issues and improve processes
• Assist with PWC audit queries
• Promote a culture of quality and values.

Your Experience

• Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables
• Solid accounting knowledge: double entry, accruals, fixed assets
• Experience analyzing large data sets
• Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Familiarity with Workday GL is a plus
• Qualifications like AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or a degree are desirable but not essential
