Job summary

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. This role is primarily focused on supervising the monthly and quarterly reporting process and managing the preparation of financial statements across offshore jurisdictions.

You will also coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and support aspects of daily operations within the department.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent) with CPD requirements.
• Experience in accounting for cross-border services subject to transfer pricing regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals.
• Ability to produce and review documentation with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated critical analysis skills to review processes and recommend improvements.
• Proven ability to work to deadlines and project plans with minimal direction.
• Commercial awareness and ability to provide appropriate solutions while considering their impact.
• Strong management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others, coupled with personal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packs and annual budget for each offshore jurisdiction.
• Review general ledger postings by colleagues across offshore jurisdictions.
• Review VAT returns prepared by external accountants.
• Ensure accurate invoicing and recording of cross-border services.
• Coordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with auditors.
• Identify and implement work review processes where deficiencies are noted.
• Assist with enhancing and developing finance-related software to improve financial information quality and efficiency.
• Manage and prepare monthly cash flows for each jurisdiction for at least eighteen months in advance.
• Maintain salary postings to each jurisdiction and ensure monthly reconciliations are completed and agreed.
• Assist with debt collection and credit control across the jurisdictions, ensuring the debt collection procedure is followed.
• Ensure monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations are completed by the team and signed off.
• Deputise for the Finance Manager, ensuring seamless delivery of tasks in their absence.
• Ensure team members are aware of their responsibilities and understand deadlines.
• Undertake performance and development reviews of team members twice yearly.
