About Our Client

Our client is a well-established business with multiple offices. The accounts team is based in Weybridge and is a hardworking team within a friendly, supportive environment.

HYBRID: This is predominately an office based role but most staff work 1 day from home per week.

Job Description

Assistant Finance Manager role involves:



You will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and efficient financial management of service charge accounts within a fast-paced environment while upholding compliance with financial regulations.

The individual will be working directly under, and act as a "number 2" to the Head of Accounts and will be involved with all aspects of the accounts department.

Good accounting knowledge to the level of understanding 'profit & loss' and 'balance sheet' reports, whether through qualifications or experience is a must. Training will be given where needed.

This is an ideal position for someone wishing to expand their knowledge and take further accounting qualifications.



Key duties:

  • Managing and maintaining service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS regulations
  • Prepare and review service charge budgets
  • Producing client statements and any additional reports required
  • VAT reporting
  • Collaborate with property management team to resolve accounts queries
  • Liaise with external accountants on production of year end accounts where necessary
  • Assisting with the company accounts

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

  • Good understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Will ideally be AAT qualified, or a CIMA/ACCA studier (although this is not essential)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Property industry, or service charge, experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience with the system QUBE is also desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
