About The Role

The Assistant Finance Accountant assists in delivering financial close activities and reporting financial results for their area. Key responsibilities include:

1. Transactional processing activities such as journals, allocations, and reconciliations.
2. Preparing monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and related reports in line with group policies.
3. Collaborating with Commercial Finance partners to ensure accuracy of financials.
4. Supporting interim and year-end reporting and audits.
5. Identifying areas for process improvement.

Accountabilities

• Performing and reporting on transactional activities, reconciliations, and period close accounting.
• Ensuring compliance with group accounting policies.
• Submitting transactional postings for review and approval.
• Supporting the year-end close process and audit queries.
• Partnering with relevant teams to understand budgets and forecasts.
• Providing commentary on management account lines and attending stakeholder meetings.
• Proactively resolving issues and identifying process improvements.
• Producing ad hoc reports as needed.
• Ensuring accurate disclosures in annual reports and statutory accounts.

About You

• Studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, with understanding of relevant regulations.
• Understanding core financial processes and systems.
• Awareness of accounting standards and principles.
• Experience in a fast-paced global environment.
• Experience delivering excellent customer/user experience.
• Experience in process automation and improvement.
