Job Description:

To assist Lead File Handler in handling Asbestos claims. To manage and progress claims for the Lead File Handler in accordance with the strategies and action plan as determined by the Lead File Handler.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review documents and prepare reports
  • Deal with disclosure
  • Review evidence (including medical / personnel records / Companies House records)
  • Conduct investigations with insured / obtain witness statements
  • Instruct Counsel / Experts
  • Research
  • Attend conferences and trials with Counsel
  • Deal with routine correspondence
  • Attend court appointments, including advocacy
  • Provide initial and further reports / advice to clients, when requested
  • Liaise directly with Claims Handlers and Manager
  • Follow client instructions
  • Engage in client development when required
  • Assist team in achieving goals and targets
  • Ensure compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations
  • Adhere to Keoghs Values

Working Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Location: Bolton, Parklands Office.
