Job Description:

We’re looking for an Assistant Farm Manager to join our clients passionate team in North Essex, helping to grow high-quality seasonal vegetables for major retail and wholesale markets.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting daily operations across planting, harvesting, irrigation & packing
Working closely with our agronomist to ensure crop health and quality
Managing and motivating a seasonal team
Overseeing procurement of inputs and irrigation scheduling
Operating and maintaining tractors, forklifts and robotics
Contributing to planning, maintenance, and development between seasons

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in horticulture and managing seasonal labour
Keen eye for detail and crop performance
Strong organisational and communication skills
Willingness to learn, adapt and grow within the role
Forklift and tractor experience preferred (training available)
