Job Title: Assistant Farm Manager
Benefits: GBP32,000 + Crop Bonus
Location: Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

ISQ Recruitment is proud to be working with a respected employer in the agriculture sector to recruit an Assistant Farm Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on farming experience to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the day-to-day management of a successful poultry farm.

About the Role:


As Assistant Farm Manager, you ll work closely with the Farm Manager to ensure the smooth running of the site, focusing on high standards of welfare, quality, and efficiency. You ll help lead a team, maintain excellent farm conditions, and ensure that production targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Farm Manager with daily operations and take charge during their absence
  • Maintain high standards of animal welfare at all times
  • Oversee feeding, lighting, heating, ventilation, and general stock care
  • Motivate and guide farm staff to achieve production goals
  • Manage contractors and ensure all work meets required standards
  • Monitor and maintain site security, including alarms
  • Keep the site clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety policies
  • Attend training as required and complete any additional duties when needed

  • Experience in livestock or poultry farming
  • Strong understanding of stock care and farm operations
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
  • Own transport due to the rural location
  • Flexibility to work weekends and varying shifts
