A major healthcare provider in Leeds is seeking an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee Transport services. The candidate will manage supervisors and staff, ensure adherence to policies, and innovate to improve service delivery. Ideal candidates must have extensive healthcare management experience, formal qualifications, and be physically fit for the role.
Anexciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Facilities Managerto join the Facilities Transport Team at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHSTrust.
Thesuccessful candidate will be reporting to the Facilities Operational Managerand they will have overall responsibility for the Transport services.
The role involves assisting the Facilities Manager in the day to day delivery ofthe service and its systems. The post holder will deputise for the FacilitiesManager in their absence. On a day-to-day basis manage the performance andeffectiveness of their supervisors and Transport staff. To give on the spotadvice in practices, procedures and performance of their Transport Supervisorsand staff.
Tobuild relationships with all levels of staff from Senior Sister down withineach functional area. To assist in the implementation of all the operationaladministrative systems that have been directed by the agreed Transportstrategy. To ensure that all staff receive mandatory training with annualrefresher, and that best practices/protocols are implemented, followed andadhered to at all times. To ensure that all trust agreed infection controlpolicies, practices and procedures are adhered to. To ensure that the serviceprovision remains within financial and weekly paid hours targets. To implementany of the Human Resources policies e.g. sickness, capability, grievances,recruitment etc. To promote excellent industrial relations within the team andsupport other colleagues within Facilities

Thepost holder will be a member of the Facilities Transport Team and support widerservices within Facilities such as Portering and Patient Environment. They willbe responsible for carrying out any duties commensurate with the grade of post.The role includes the effective management of the Transport services acrossLeeds Teaching Hospital sites. This entails the management of Supervisors andstaff and ensuring that all Trust polices and procedures are adhered to.
Thesuccessful candidate will be asked to implement innovative ways to improve theservice and support the Trust's 7 commitments. The role requires flexibility inapproach to the duties required and the hours worked.
Thepost holder will be expected to have a successful track record in managing alarge team in a healthcare environment and have a sound knowledge of Microsoftsystems.
