Job Description

Dalkia has an opportunity for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team at Sizewell C near Leiston.

We are looking for someone ideally with a background in facilities management to support the Facilities Manager at our rapidly developing site on Sizewell C. The role involves managing the team and ensuring our buildings operate effectively and remain compliant.

You will provide essential support to the management team and support staff, ensuring the building delivers safe and compliant activities and services across the site, maintained to a high standard. This will enable our client, EDF, to carry out successful business operations on the project.

Overview of responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Manager with all activities and services within the property.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for customers, staff, and contractors, adhering to health and safety and EDF "lifesaving" rules.
  • Assist in planning the work of contractors and in-house teams to deliver core services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, cleaning, waste disposal, and catering, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Verify that work by staff or contractors is completed satisfactorily, follow up on deficiencies, conduct monthly audits on cleaning standards, and report findings to the Helpdesk.
  • Support the delivery of a fully compliant site by uploading documents to the Helpdesk team and escalating non-compliance issues to the relevant teams, including the Landlord team.
  • Coordinate with the EDF helpdesk and other stakeholders to ensure priorities are met.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent issues, including investigating all incidents on site.

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside usual hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
