A leading arts organisation is seeking an Assistant Exhibitions Manager to support the delivery of temporary loan exhibitions. The role requires strong project management and administration skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities to build effective relationships.
The Royal Academy’s Exhibitions team organises an internationally recognised programme of exhibitions every year, focusing on solo exhibitions of historic, modern, and living artists, artistic schools and movements, key international collections, and large-scale major surveys of global art and artists.
We are now looking for an Assistant Exhibitions Manager to join our team.
This role will support the organisation and delivery of temporary loan exhibitions, from requesting loans through to designing the exhibition, installation, display, takedown, and occasionally managing its tour.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience working in an exhibitions management role at an arts organisation, museum, or gallery, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You will possess excellent administration and project management skills, with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
You will be well-organised, solution-oriented, able to plan ahead, and capable of predicting and overcoming obstacles. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
