Job summary

Careys in London seeks an Assistant Estimator to join the Estimating team in Kings Cross, reporting to the Managing Estimator. You will measure from tender drawings, prepare bills of quantities and assist in compiling estimates.

Requires a degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, 5+ years of industry experience with exposure to RC frames or civil works, and proficiency in Bluebeam or CADmeasure and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of industry experience with exposure to RC frames or civil works.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and estimating software such as Bluebeam, CADMeasure, and Causeway.

Responsibilities

• Review scope, drawings and specs.
• Measure and take off quantities from drawings.
• Prepare bills of quantities and assist with estimates and rate bills.
• Attend bid reviews and client meetings.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and upskilling within the team.
