A family owned, award winning principal contractor in Hertfordshire is looking for an Assistant Estimator to be based from their offices.
Established in 2004 in Hertfordshire, our client specializes in design, managing, and constructing high-quality construction projects across both public and private sectors.
They have a proven track record in a range of sectors including Commercial & Industrial, Health, Education, Housing, and Retail. They have a loyal/stable workforce and are financially secure. They get lots of repeat business (roughly 75% of their work is repeat business). They have a full order book for this year and work secured for next year.

The Role - Assistant Estimator
As an Assistant Estimator, you will be working on a range of commercial schemes, ranging from education, local authority, commercial, healthcare, to residential conversions up to circa £6m. This is a full-time office-based position for an Assistant Estimator within the commercial team, located in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
The Assistant Estimator will be responsible for assisting with estimating construction projects, sending and managing tender enquiries, collecting and analysing cost data, and supporting the senior estimator with final submissions.
The right person: Assistant Estimator
You will have 2 years plus experience in Estimating or you could be a Quantity Surveyor looking to move into Estimating.
