We work for clients across the UK and overseas, including government bodies, regulators, water companies, NGOs, and local authorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of environmental projects focusing on water quality, hydrometry, Water Framework Directive, and environmental assessment/EIA through collaboration with other AtkinsRéalis specialists.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and with other professionals (environmental scientists, ecologists, engineers, planners) to provide integrated services to clients.
  • Maintain a flexible, proactive approach, capable of working independently and within a team.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline is essential, with experience in environmental surveys related to river, wetland, and catchment systems.
  • Field experience in different river environments across the UK is required, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and present findings clearly.
  • Proven report writing skills in plain English suitable for diverse audiences. Numeracy, literacy, and familiarity with relevant IT/software are necessary.
  • Enthusiasm for developing new data processing, analysis, and presentation methods.
  • Hold a full UK driving license (or equivalent) and be willing to travel to project sites as needed.

The Individual:

The candidate should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, and focused on delivering technical excellence and sustainable outcomes. Skills in collaboration, communication, adaptability, report writing, and presentation are essential.
