A little more about your role…

As an Assistant Consultant in the EIA team, you will provide support to managing and delivering environmental consultancy services to a full range of clients. You will assist in coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, as well as undertaking broader environmental management tasks for various projects.

  • Assist project managers in coordinating site selection reports for offshore wind farms, communicating with technical specialists to develop mitigation measures.
  • Support the implementation of digital EIA approaches.
  • Coordinate land access for EIA surveys, such as archaeological investigations.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Assist in finalizing Environmental Statements for submission.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline with a focus on EIA and/or SEA.
  • Relevant postgraduate experience in a similar role within the UK or a comparable jurisdiction.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and high computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Experience or interest in environmental surveys (e.g., ecology, noise, air quality).
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally.
  • Knowledge of UK environmental and planning legislation related to EIA.
  • Postgraduate qualification in environmental science, planning, or related field.
  • Membership of IEMA or similar professional body.
