An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant EMHP within the Mental Health Support Teams at Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This opportunity has arisen within the team as a fixed-term post. As an assistant EMHP, it may provide applicants considering applying for trainee posts with insights and experience into the MHST teams and roles.
The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) are part of the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service in Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. They are within the ‘Getting Advice’ & ‘Getting Help’ quadrants of the developing iThrive model, currently being implemented across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. The iThrive model offers an integrated approach to delivering person-centered and needs-led services for children, young people, and families.
The post holder will support the Fenland MHST in providing a high-quality service to students (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
The three core elements provided by the MHSTs are:

The post holder will work alongside Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWPs), and Senior Clinicians, delivering evidence-based interventions supporting young people's recovery.
They will also apply their skills and knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), child and adolescent mental health practices, and whole-school approaches to mental health, in accordance with clinical governance and professional standards.
