The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) are part of the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service in Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust. They are within the ‘Getting Advice’ & ‘Getting Help’ quadrants of the developing iThrive model, currently being implemented across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough. The iThrive model offers an integrated approach to delivering person-centered and needs-led services for children, young people, and families.

The post holder will support the Fenland MHST in providing a high-quality service to students (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The three core elements provided by the MHSTs are:

  1. Evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing issues
  2. Supporting designated senior mental health leads in educational settings
  3. Providing timely advice to school and college staff

They will also apply their skills and knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), child and adolescent mental health practices, and whole-school approaches to mental health, in accordance with clinical governance and professional standards.
