Job Description

AtkinsRéalis provides drainage design services to Highway, Rail, Private Developer, Energy and Water markets with key clients including HS2, Highways England, and Network Rail. Due to growing workload, we are looking to strengthen our teams.

We require Senior Drainage Engineers to join our teams across the UK. Candidates should be capable of supporting local teams and delivering remote projects as part of our national Practice.

The role involves designing drainage infrastructure, transportation, and private developer projects, with an emphasis on highway drainage and SuDS. You will support the development of our drainage capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading drainage design from concept to detailed design and construction, either standalone or as part of multi-disciplinary schemes.
  • Promoting digital solutions and BIM integration in drainage design.
  • Reviewing drainage designs, models, calculations, and drawings for standards compliance and providing technical assurance.
  • Managing design tasks, delivery, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Mentoring and developing team members in drainage design.
  • Supporting bid preparations and technical reports.
Requirements:
  • Qualified with ICE, CIWEM, or similar.
  • Experience in all drainage design aspects and familiarity with hydraulic software, 3D design, and BIM.
  • Ability to prepare reports, specifications, and statistical data.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams, with leadership qualities.
  • Experience with private and public sector clients and procurement processes.
