Job description

You’ll work with the team to deliver high-quality support and accommodation to people fleeing domestic abuse, including their children. You will be the first point of contact for external enquiries, referrals, admissions, and residents in the refuge accommodation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure customers feel welcome upon arrival and are fully informed of the support available and their responsibilities.
  • Provide practical and emotional support focused on the customer’s needs.
  • Manage referrals, conduct risk assessments, and allocate accommodation based on customer needs.
  • Maintain safety and risk management plans to ensure the safety of customers and their families, keeping accurate records.
  • Serve as the first point of contact at the refuge, responding to issues or emergencies.
  • Assess safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately, recording incidents accurately.
  • Assist the team in meeting room turnaround targets to prepare for new residents.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum educational qualification such as GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Proficient in ICT and familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience handling personal data in compliance with GDPR.
  • Understanding of issues faced by individuals in abusive relationships, with strong communication skills to support and advocate for them.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and effective time management.

  • DBS check required.
