Assistant Director / 2IC

Sparrow Early Learning - Somerville Cottage

Part-time (Monday to Friday) Position

We are looking for someone who:

About the Role:

In this 2IC role, you will support the Service Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the service in line with company policies and procedures, meeting compliance and operational targets. You will model creativity and innovation, motivate, and lead a team of Educators to create a positive and engaging work environment. You will design and implement engaging learning programs, work collaboratively, and provide confident support and motivation within your team. Additionally, you will maintain excellent relationships with families, children, and team members.

What you’ll need:
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a current Second in Charge role
  • Strong knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR certificates, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Confidence when communicating with all levels of management
  • A strong ability to inspire, motivate, and maintain a positive culture within our service
