Homes England : The Housing and Regeneration Agency
We believe that affordable, quality homes in well-designed places are key to improving people’s lives. As the government’s housing and regeneration agency, we create thriving new places and transform urban areas, combining the full breadth of our powers, expertise, land, capital and influence to bring investment to communities and get more homes built.
How? We form long-term partnerships that bridge the gap between the public and private sector to meet local needs and aspirations. We use our influence to champion the creation of sustainable homes, communities and places that are brilliantly designed for the people that live there now, and in the future. And we use our funding and support to build a more resilient, diverse and innovative housing sector, helping new entrants in the market, encouraging modern methods of construction and design, and promoting the utmost attention to building safety.
Together with our partners, we’re accelerating the pace of house building, remediation and regeneration across the country, as we seek to deliver ever more affordable homes in places people are proud to call home for generations to come.
Working in a team with Andrew Lawrence, our Director of Help to Buy, the Assistant Director - Product will play a critical role in shaping the future of equity loan products and legacy housing schemes at Homes England. You’ll be joining our highly skilled and experienced team, who are committed to making a positive change in how we deliver home ownership support across the country.
Andrew is dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service, resolving issues informally wherever possible, and taking an innovative and creative approach to product challenges. He values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within the team.
This is a rare chance to shape the future of home ownership policy and product delivery in a fast-growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional product team, you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective resolution of product, strategy, change & transformation challenges—creating forward-thinking solutions that serve customers now and into the future.
The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects around product transformation, customer experience and contract management. There are some ambitious and rewarding projects to get involved with, and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day-to-day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to our equity loan product offering.
Whilst our day job is to deliver first-class customer service to our stakeholders in the housing market, you’ll be used to “spinning several plates” at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You'll be comfortable supporting the business with complex product and policy issues, aiming to improve outcomes for customers and stakeholders. You will be proficient in strategic leadership, contract and supplier management, policy development and transformation delivery.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You’ll be resilient, confident working with senior stakeholders, and your discussions will be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a team. You’ll enjoy working in an innovative, engaging and collaborative way—and be skilled at negotiating, persuading and influencing to drive results.
As an experienced product, strategy & change professional, you’ll understand how to lead, inspire and manage teams. You’ll be able to demonstrate that you can work effectively with others in a collaborative and inclusive way, and bring a strategic mindset to a high-performing, mission-driven team.
