About the Role

The Assistant Director of Talent & Culture will lead with the Director of Talent & Culture to create a high-performing HR team. Responsibilities include recruitment, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, development, performance management, engagement, and employee relations. The role involves embodying Rosewood’s core values and being a true brand ambassador, supporting a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and excellence. The candidate should be strategic, resourceful, and authentic in guiding others, especially as part of the opening team to establish a positive culture.

  • Implement Rosewood policies aligned with company vision, mission, strategies, and local laws.
  • Support development of local and property-specific policies.
  • Provide strategic HR leadership organization-wide.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies supporting business goals and a high-performance culture.
  • Enhance employee experience through diversity, inclusion, engagement, and growth initiatives.
  • Advise managers on performance, discipline, grievances, maternity/paternity, equal opportunities, and legal compliance.
  • Design and communicate effective HR processes, ensuring compliance and documentation.
  • Collaborate on talent acquisition plans for hotel opening, managing the full lifecycle from sourcing to final offer.
  • Partner with leaders on early career initiatives, university relationships, and recruitment events.
  • Uphold the company’s pledge to equal opportunity employment, ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.

About you

  • Proven leader with team management and talent development experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and practical application.
  • Passionate about the employee lifecycle.
  • Natural coach with stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with pre-opening teams is preferred.
