We are dedicated to reducing the numbers of children and young people living in poverty, support families to stay safely together and support babies to have the best start in life and support young people to be ready for the world of work.



What about the Role?

As Assistant Director for Education you will strive for excellence across our education landscape, providing supportive and clear leadership, using your expertise to ensure education services are focussed on delivering the best outcomes for children and young people in our great city.



You will use your leadership and communication skills to encourage cooperative ways of working across our multi agency education landscape with a multitude of partner organisations and stakeholders and across services to achieve the objectives of the Directorate and the vision of the City Council and deliver the best educational outcomes for children and young people across our City.
