Assistant Director - ICT, Digital & Data

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and energetic digital leader, that has delivered large scale digital transformation programmes. You will have the knowledge and expertise to align technology with new digital experiences, and understand the importance of data, specifically in the cloud and its importance to our BI, AI and wider programmes. Key Areas of Focus

  • Digital Strategy Development: Execute a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with the local government's goals and objectives.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of digital technologies across various departments to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics to gain insights into community preferences and engagement patterns, enabling targeted and personalized communication strategies.
  • Digital Communication: Develop and lead omnichannel communication strategies, leveraging platforms such as social media, websites, and emerging technologies.
  • Innovation Leadership: Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and chatbots to enhance citizen engagement and service delivery.
  • Project Management: Manage digital projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work alongside internal departments, external partners, and community stakeholders to ensure successful digital initiatives.
  • Crisis Management: Develop rapid response mechanisms for crisis communications, addressing fast-moving issues and providing accurate information to the public.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of digital initiatives using web analytics tools .
