7 months contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

• Our team is part of Hackney Council’s Customer & Workplace division. The division handles a broad portfolio of high-profile, citizen-facing, and corporate support services. Our work significantly impacts residents' and businesses' experiences with council services, working closely with colleagues across the organization.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• The Customer Services, Digital & Data teams handle over 1 million customer enquiries annually via phone, face-to-face at Hackney Service Centre, online, and through the registrars service.
• Enquiries range from general information requests to recording major life events and supporting vulnerable residents facing homelessness or financial hardship.

Essential Experience Required

• Substantial relevant experience in delivering user experience, usability, accessibility, and security is essential.
• Significant experience in user experience design for strategic, large, or complex programs is essential.

Essential Qualification Required

• Ideally a bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification, but consideration will be given to those with equivalent experience at a similar level.

Additional information

• Working hours: 36 hours per week
