Maritime and Coastguard Agency is seeking an Assistant Director of Commercial to join the Finance and Analysis directorate. The role leads MCA's Commercial Strategy and procurement, delivering high quality services to stakeholders and ensuring value for money across a c. £500m budget.

The post requires strategic leadership, a track record in procurement governance, and the ability to manage senior stakeholders. Flexible working options are available within the Civil Service framework.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial strategies, ensuring value for money and risk mitigation.
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary procurement function and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong collaboration with senior stakeholders and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead MCA's Commercial Strategy and ensure alignment with MCA objectives and government guidance.
• Oversee MCA's Procurement team and embed a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide assurance on procurement legislation and governance to MCA's Accounting Officer.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to influence decision making.
• Support major projects with strong commercial focus and value-driven decisions.
• Promote adherence to the Government Functional Standard for Commercial.
