Location: South of England (Office & Site-based)

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 basic + Car/Allowance + company benefits

Capstone Recruitment is working with a leading care provider seeking an Assistant Development Project Manager to oversee and deliver key property development projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing sector within mental health care, managing projects with a focus on modular construction. The role involves frequent travel, stakeholder coordination, and delivery responsibility to meet the group’s expanding property demands.

Reporting to the Development Project Manager, you’ll help manage third-party contractors and consultants, ensuring quality and value across all projects. You’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle—from site acquisition and planning to design, procurement, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all development stages including feasibility, planning, design, and construction.
  • Monitor costs, timelines, and progress; report to senior leadership.
  • Engage with local authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance and delivery excellence.
  • Assist in appointing professional teams and preparing contract documentation.
  • Attend site meetings and ensure works meet contract and quality standards.

About You: You are a confident project coordinator with:

  • A construction-related degree and 3–5 years’ experience.
  • Ideally MRICS or MCIOB chartered status (or working towards).
  • A strong understanding of development and planning processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
